Smoothie Packs

Smoothies are so versatile and can give you a quick meal on the go. Prep smoothie packs ahead of time in Fill and Slide bags so you can just add liquid, blend, and go.

Smoothie pack tips:

-If you are starting with fresh fruit, slice fruit and flash freeze on a tray before assembling smoothie packs so it doesn't freeze together in a big clump.

-If you have leftover greens like spinach that will not get used for salads, you can freeze in a bag and add to smoothie packs already frozen. We like adding greens to almost all of our smoothies. It is an easy way to get veggies. Spinach is super healthy and generally doesn't change the flavor. Breakfast is often a hard meal to incorporate veggies and smoothies solve that problem. Often at lunch/dinner I give my kids the choice of eating their veggies with a meal or drinking them as a smoothie. They are getting better at eating veggies, but often prefer the smoothie.

-Add some protein - Portion out yogurt into ice cube trays and freeze before adding to individual smoothie packs. You can always add in a scoop of your favorite protein powder or hemp hearts to get more protein in your smoothie.
